After back to back weekends of fishing, tournament #6 and tournament #7 for the club are finally done and we have the results. We had seven boats turn in weigh sheets for the sixth tournament of the year and six boats turn in weigh sheets for this last weekends tournament which coincided with the Texas Legends Tournament.
Tournament #6
Tournament #6 was a tournament of boated fish, many of the members weighed in wahoos, amberjacks, kings, and tunas.
AJ Hecker & Alexandra Smith aboard
Wired Up weighed in the first Amberjack of the year to move into first and second place. AJ's fish weighed 56.60 lbs. while Alexandra's weighed 50.15 lbs.
Craig Reedy moved into first place in the wahoo division with a 18.10 lbs. fish brought in aboard the
Miss Lainieous. Dylan Hester on
Double Trouble and
AJ also weighed in wahoo. Dylan's weighed in at 14.90 lbs. and AJ's fish weighed 11.95 lbs.
The
Irish Jig weighed in four king mackerel.
Karen O'Rear moved into second place with her fish weighing in at 17.55 lbs. She also is standing in third and fourth with a 15.85 lbs. fish and a 13.25 lbs. fish.
Craig & Randy Wiesehan moved into first and second place with their blackfin tuna weighed in tournament #6. Craig took first place with his fish at 19.25 lbs. and Randy's fish took second weighing 17.10 lbs.
Seven white marlin were caught this tournament.
Marlin Johnson, the only junior to catch a fish this tournament, released a white marlin aboard the
Aly Gator. Of the other six whites, three were caught on the
Wired Up, one aboard
Miss Lainieous, and two on the
Double Trouble.
Dylan moved into first place with the only swordfish released so far this year.
Tournament #7
The
Double Trouble weighed in a boatload of fish this tournament. Their 16.5 lbs. wahoo caught by
Dylan Hester moved them into second place on the leader board. Dylan also caught the second swordfish of the tournament.
Ashleigh Pundt on the
Wired Up released her first blue marlin! Congratulations Ashleigh!
The
Cuz We Can got into the sailfish this tournament, releasing four along with boating one yellowfin tuna. The sailfish were reeled in by
Matt Reed, Kelly Owens, and Mac Owens. Justin Waight caught the tuna which weighed in at 13.5 lbs. putting him in second place in that division.
D.A. Hughes aboard the
Wildcatter released two white marlin and one sailfish. He also weighed in a blackfin tuna at 14 lbs. putting him in fourth place in that category.
The crew on the
Relax released two sailfish and one white marlin. Junior
Nicole DeBerry released on of the whites.
The
Miss Lainieous released one blue marlin reeled in by
Craig Reedy.
